Addison & Sarova, the Rare Book Auctioneers

Addison & Sarova Host Two Auctions in April

Addison & Sarova is hosting a combined on-line and live book auction that began accepting bids on April 6 and will conclude with a live session on April 27th. Featured are rare books, manuscripts, and ephemera in many areas of interest. Pre-bidding is now being recorded on their website. In addition there is an on-line only illustrated "Bookworm" auction from April 6 through April 28th. Bids are presently being accepted at "Book Worm".

There is a variety of material offered in the live auction on the 27th.  Headlining the sale are an excellent 13th century manuscript, a 15th century illuminated Book of Hours, a rare cartographic work by John Speed, Bligh's account of the Mutiny on the Bounty, and other scarce items.  In addition the books and manuscripts, collectors of ephemera will be be offered many unusual and rare documents, including several substantial archives.

The online-only "Bookworm" auction continues its tradition of offering a variety of rare, interesting, or attractive books in all price ranges.  While there are plenty of books worth hundreds of dollars in this sale, many are more budget-friendly, and with all lots starting at $1, everyone can afford to bid. The books being auctioned are as diverse as the bidders:  Some are antiquarian, some modern, some coveted, some unappreciated, some pretty, some ugly – but all carry their own appeal and someone will love them.
